Aqualife Training has a range of online courses available to complement face to face learning. These courses can be completed via our dedicated system called Training Desk. Online Training courses offer the flexibility of being able to complete course work in your own time and being able to study from the comfort of your home or business.

Step to complete your online training

  1. Enrolment: You will receive an email from trainingdesk that includes your course information and enrolment link. Please click on this link to confirm enrolment and commence and pre course learning
  2. Pre Course Learning: You will informed via your trainingdesk account if you are required to complete any pre course learning. If you are completing any pre course learning:
    1. Use Google Chrome if possible – as it works best with your learning platform
    2. Follow the instructions within the training module
    3. Complete one module at a time. There are timing locks in some courses so you are unable to skip the videos.
    4. When you reach the end of each module, ensure you follow the instructions to exit that module. The module is completed when it turns green
    5. For short answer submission, your answer will be reviewed by your trainer and you will be notified if any correction is required
    6. For video assessment, please follow the instructions within your assessment task to record and upload a video (preferred using computers camera or camera phone)
    7. For submission of documents, if you are using adobe documents, and wish to electronically fill out the boxes, ensure you have the correct software to do so PDF Reader), save the document to your device first, then fill it out, resave and the upload to submit.
    8. When all modules are completed, they will all turn green and you will be notified you have completed this module.
    9. You MUST complete all pre course learning prior to your course date. If you pre course learning is not complete, you will be unable to participate in the course and refused entry.
  3. Please ensure you understand your assessment task that you are required to undertake (via our website), ensure you are aware of the time and date of your assessment. If you have any questions, we are happy to answer them during the course. If you believe you need a longer assessment time (ie new learners) please let us know to arrange a longer assessment time.

Training Desk Account

You will either have an existing training desk account (return user/update), invite to set up an account (via enrolment email) or you can set up a new one on your own. If you cannot remember your password, please click forgotten password. If you are a new user, click the bottom access your account. You can only use 1 email account per person (ie you cannot use a shared email for multiple users).

HLTAID001 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation

This unit of competency describes the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response to a casualty. The unit applies to all workers who may be required to provide a first aid response in a range of situations, include community and workplace settings.

Course Fees

Public Course Fee for our blended and enhanced option is $40pp. Reduced rates apply for Group Bookings. Please contact Aqualife Training for more infomation.

Payment of course fees must be made prior to the course, unless upon the written discretion from Aqualife Training. If there are any unpaid fees at the time of the start of the course, the trainer may refuse entry to the course. Payment can be made (approved methods outlined within the issued invoice) may include credit card (Eway or MYOB payment merchant), direct transfer to bank account, cheque or cash. Assessment Requirements

Individuals undertaking this course will be expected to complete both written and practical tasks. These are detailed in the sections following.

Entry Requirements

Participants must have the physical capacity to perform 2 minutes of uninterrupted CPR on the floor.

Assessment Activities

Assessed conducting during face-face training session(s) include:

-         Performance tasks – the assessor must observe the following performance tasks

-  Perform CPR on an Infant

-          Practical Scenarios – The assessor must observe the following practical scenario

-  Perform CPR on an adult

-          Theory assessment – A written assessment consisting of multiple-choice questions. The student must successfully complete all assessment questions

 

Pre requisite:

You must apply for a USI (Unique Student Idenifier). Go towww.usi.gov.auto apply or to retrieve. If you already have a USI please bring it to the course.

Target audience:

Existing workers in the industry who may require CPR training first aid training as recommended by the Australian Resuscitation Council.

Award issued:

Students who successfully complete this nationally recognised training will be awarded the statement of attainment for: 

  • HLTAID001 Provide Cardipulmonary Resuscitation

Initial Course duration:

Mixed Mode: Completion of pre-course study (1 hour)  plus 2 hours practical training

Face to Face: 3 hours face to face training

Refresher Course duration:

Mixed Mode: Completion pre-course study (optional) plus 2 hours practical training

Face to Face: 2 hours face to face training

Online Delivery with face to face practical assessment 

Self paced online learning with minium scheduled 15 minuite face to face practical assessment

HLTAID002 Provide Basic Emergency Life Support

This unit of competency describes the skills and knowledge required to provide first aid response, life support, management of casualty(s), the incident and other first aiders, until the arrival of medical or other assistance. This course is suitable for those students requiring workplace first aid skills. This course was previously called Level 1 first aid.

This unit of competency describes the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response to a casualty. The unit applies to all workers who may be required to provide a first aid response in a range of situations, include community and workplace settings.

Specific licensing requirements relating to this competency, including requirements for refresher training, should be obtained from the relevant state/territory Work Health and Safety Regulatory Authority.

Mixed Mode: Completion of pre-course study (2 hours) plus 5.5 hours practical training

Face to Face: 7.5 hours face to face training

Refresher Course duration:

Mixed Mode: Completion pre-course study (2 hours)  plus 5.5 hours practical training

Face to Face: Completion pre-course study (30 minuites)  plus 5.5 hours practical training

Online Delivery with face to face practical assessment 

Self paced online learning with a minium scheduled 30 minuite face to face practical assessment
